Project Name
Korowa Anglican Girls' School, Glen Iris
Description
Builder: Edmanson Constructions
Architect: Darren Carnell Architects
This school project required the use of what can be best described as double-sided pinboard panels recessed into partition frames which divide the classrooms from the hallway. The pinboard panels were created by first laminating Krommenie Cork onto a MDF substrate. In step 2 the face fabric, Vertiface Velour in "Chilli Red", was laminated to the cork. The pinboard panels were then slid into the existing aluminium partition frames, facing the hallway. Eventually wraparound pinboards of the same fabric and colour were counter laminated to the back of those panels, facing the classroom side. The result is a clean and modern look.
